You’ve got your product range sorted, your super slick website up and running, and your lovely new MOO Business Cards printed and primed for passing round. What next?
At some point there’s a good chance you’ll be looking to spread the word about your brand with an email campaign. The team at MailChimp have been using their unique blend of humour and top-notch technology to make email marketing simple and fun since 2001. And with more than 6 million people using the service to create, send and track their email newsletters, these digital dons and their happy monkey mascot must be doing something right.
Standing out from the crowd
At the heart of MailChimp’s business sit beautifully designed, customisable templates that companies can match to their brand’s look and feel (sound familiar?). From the arty to the corporate via a couple of social network-themed ones there’s a template for everyone.
MailChimp’s appreciation of the aesthetic filtered through to their Business Cards some time ago, with a simple but striking design in four colours. When we launched our new Letterheads, they were as keen to give them a go as we were to see how a web-based service would make use of this more traditional printed product.
Office Coordinator Meg Lindsay was on hand to explain: “Being an online business, we don’t tend to use Letterheads all that much, so getting huge quantities printed didn’t make sense for us. MOO’s small print runs are perfect, and once we got the samples in, our recruiting team snapped up the smart-looking Letterheads for sending out job offers. They help us to really stand out, and at the rate we’re hiring we’ll be making another order in no time.”
The finished product
They went through a few designs before settling on a winner, a solid light blue on the back, with just the MailChimp logo and address on the front. Simple, but effective. Just like their Business Cards and, come to think of it, just like the service they offer.
