In business it pays to be thoughtful. Spend a bit of time considering things from your clients' perspective and you stand a greater chance of being remembered - and appreciated!
Designer Georgia Hardinge realised that, as well as wowing critics with a groundbreaking collection at London Fashion Week, it was also important to appear sensitive to the practicalities of the event as a whole. Keen to provide buyers with something they could take away with them as a reminder of her work, but aware of how weighed down they would be with bulky handouts, she put her creative talents to work in producing a prêt-à-porter lookbook of her designs using Business Cards.
With glossy pics of her collection on one side and a full range of specific contact details and credits on the back, Georgia linked the cards together using a key ring for a neat, portable portfolio.
"During fashion week, buyers and press hate carrying around large booklets and paperwork as it gets very heavy, so I decided these little key ring photographs would be perfect to slip into their pockets!" she said.
And the reaction of the lucky recipients proves that Georgia's subtle approach and careful planning pay dividends‚
"They love it," she said. "It's such a novelty item - like a present!"
Taking advantage of Printfinity, Georgia uses a different image on each card to offer a complete showcase of her collection. Reinforcing her brand, she places individual cards on seats at her runway shows and plans to take her lookbooks with her to Paris Fashion Week.
With a bright future ahead of her and a whole raft of fashion shows on the horizon, Georgia plans to keep using MOO to help promote her collections and her business.
Looks like our Business Cards are set to be some of the best-travelled and well-dressed items of stationery around!
A bientôt - and enjoy Paris, Georgia!
