Meet Amy Taylor
Copywriter Amy Taylor wrote a fantastic blog for Brains On Fire about touch points - the little things that businesses do to get noticed, and show their customers they really care. "Every touch point is an opportunity to start a conversation" she tells us - which is exactly how we feel about MiniCards!
Let's talk touch points
"Touch points don't have to be fancy or expensive" Amy says. "A couple years ago I ran into a local photographer who had MOO cards. Instead of plucking one from his pocket, he pulled out a stack. Each card had his contact information on one side and one of his photos on the other – each one different. He fanned them out, text side-up, like a deck of cards, asking me to choose one at random. Then he told me whatever photo was on the back would tell me something about myself!"
Got Klout?
We sent Amy some MOO MiniCards in association with Klout, a website that measures (and rewards) online influence - and we're so glad we did! "When the MiniCards arrived, my colleagues huddled around my desk and everyone selected a card that matched their personality and style. The cards have become as much trading/collectable cards as business cards. As for personal marketing, they're awesome. When you give someone something tangibly memorable you give them a reason to remember you. If they feel compelled to tack that up on their wall or prop it up on their desk like a tiny work of art – even better."
