Foodie delight
There’s no denying it, the MOO Crew loves to eat. From our free Friday lunches (pizza this week, yum!) to the brimming bowls of healthy/not so healthy snacks dotted around the place, there’s a constant supply of sustenance at MOO. And it’s no coincidence that our four offices are located in some of the foodiest parts of the cities they’re in.
NYC-based Hearth & Table takes the love of good food to another level. From its humble beginnings as a provincial Italian supper club, Jessica Hayden Mattheus’s community-based business has grown to be one of Brooklyn’s most innovative catering companies.
A new look
A couple of months ago, Hearth & Table celebrated its two year anniversary with an exciting brand and website refresh. Since the early days, Jess has been conscious that a strong brand identity is the key to getting the Hearth & Table message out there. Only when people know about the business can she let her incredible home cooking and locally sourced produce do the talking.
Thankfully for Jess, her graphic designer husband Zach was on hand to develop a new visual identity that really captures the business’s mission of creating perfectly executed rustic meals. And he chose MOO's Luxe range of Business Cards, Notecards and Postcards as part of the brand update. “MOO is about great design for everyone, which struck us as reminiscent of Hearth & Table’s vision of bringing us as a culture and society back to the table” says Zach. “The beautiful quality of Luxe reflects the calibre of the clients we are now working with. We think the product combined with our rebranding shows a new level of sophistication.”
Specially prepared for the individual
Jess’s commitment to creating new and memorable experiences for her clients extends to the business’s communications. From welcomes to thank yous to gifts, every handwritten Notecard and Postcard matches the very individual service each customer receives. And she’s found her personalised Notecards go down almost as well as her delicious food. “It’s not just the fact that we’ve taken the time to write to them, they love the visual play on our company name – Heart, Hand, Table – that the stationery brings out. That’s what Hearth & Table is all about; cooking from our hearts, through our hands, to your table.”
Jess believes that to be a successful small business you need to be constantly evolving. She has exciting plans to extend – and find ever more creative uses for – her range of stationery. There’s no doubt that Jess’s attention to detail has helped Hearth & Table stand out from the crowd on the competitive NYC catering scene, and we can’t wait to see what she serves up next. In the meantime we’ll just salivate a little more over the scrummy dishes on her website…yum!
